1 ) Under which government decision is this scheme implemented?
Department of Industries, Energy and Labour, Government of Maharashtra Government Decision No.:IBANKA-2023/Pro.No. 77/Kamgar-7, dated 7th August, 2023 has issued a Government Decision.
2 ) Is this scheme government or private?
The above scheme is implemented for registered active workers through the Maharashtra Building and Construction Workers Welfare Board under the Department of Industries, Energy and Labour, Government of Maharashtra.
3 ) What is the name of the scheme?
The name of the scheme is 'Vishwakarma Bandhkam Kamgar Arogya Seva'
4 ) Will the mobile medical ward vehicle remain operational 24 x 7?
Yes, each District Worker will be working 24 x 7 in the facility area.
5 ) What is done in health camp?
A preliminary physical health screening test is conducted in the camp.
6 ) What is Labor Health Camp?
Building and other construction workers work in very hazardous conditions, requiring periodic health screening tests to prevent future illnesses from exposure to dust, soil, and chemical dyes. By doing this, they can avoid or treat various diseases. Health check-up is done by gathering all the workers at a planned place in the camp or by going to the house of the workers.
7 ) What tests are conducted in the health camp?
Basic information, eye examination, hearing examination, blood test, ECG, PFT and medical examination will be conducted in the camp.
8 ) Will we get money on arrival at the camp?
No.
9 ) Do health tests have to be done in the camp itself?
The camps will be conducted in two ways – 1) By gathering active workers in all registers at planned locations 2) By going door to door of the active construction workers in the register.
10 ) Do you come home and do health checkups?
Yes, Our medical team will come and test you.
11 ) Does it cost extra?
No. You don't have to pay a single fee
12 ) Is there medical examination in the health camp?
Yes, The doctor will conduct a physical examination of you.
13 ) Do you have to pay for tests in health camps?
No. You don't have to pay.
14 ) Will my entire family members be tested in the health camp?
Yes, but for treatment, i.e. medication or hospitalization, active construction worker, wife/husband and first 2 children above 10 years of age will be counted as beneficiaries in the relevant records.
15 ) Will a beneficiary continue to receive his daily allowance if he is hospitalized?
No, for this you have to contact the concerned office
16 ) Will my mother or father be considered as beneficiary in this scheme?
No, only active worker, his wife/husband and first two children above 10 years of age enrolled under 'Vishwakarma Construction Workers Health Services' will be counted as beneficiaries, but they will be counted as beneficiaries after undergoing primary health screening test.
17 ) Why only four members and not the whole family?
The said scheme is being implemented by the government and according to the government decision active construction worker, his wife/husband and the first two beneficiaries above 10 years have been counted as beneficiaries.
18 ) Will you take and sell our samples?
No, your samples will be processed in their listed laboratory and reported to you.
19 ) When and how to submit our health test report?
The health report will be sent directly to your registered mobile number within 7 days from the date of your test.
20 ) Will medicines be prescribed along with tests?
Medicines will be prescribed as needed and with your consent.
21 ) Do I have to pay for medicine?
No, the government will pay for the medicines on our behalf.
22 ) How will I receive essential first aid or medication?
A mobile medical unit i.e. a medical vehicle will come ('Aapla Doktar Apna Dari') to check you up or take essential medication.
23 ) Where do you send our blood samples?
Your blood samples will be sent for testing to a hospital, laboratory or primary health center listed by the government.
24 ) Do you immediately take a screening test if you have been drinking?
No. Screening tests cannot be performed as there is a high chance of false reporting due to alcohol consumption.
25 ) I don't have labor card on record? So will I be tested?
No, it is mandatory to have construction worker card.
26 ) I have Aadhaar, Voting and PAN card, is it working?
No. It is mandatory to have a construction worker card in the register only.
27 ) Where to go or whom to contact to get labor card?
Govt labor officer of district/ taluka level labor facility center or go to csc center with proof of age or self declaration, residence proof, aadhaar card, bank account statement, employer's certificate of 90 days working as construction worker and nomination application and statement of family dependents.
28 ) Will I get the benefit of this scheme after going to another province?
The said scheme is being localized by the Maharashtra government and for this purpose it is only availed in the state of Maharashtra.
29 ) How much medicine can we take up to Rs.
Each beneficiary can take medicines up to Rs.5000 per year
30 ) Can we get a health screening test again?
Yes, if the beneficiary requests a repeat test for which the test report is abnormal, such test can be done once free of charge.
31 ) Which doctor will treat us?
From the designated institution, the doctor will treat you.
32 ) Where is the 'Vishwakarma Prakshatra Arogya Seva' scheme available?
This scheme is available all over the state of Maharashtra.
33 ) What documents are required for inspection?
Only construction worker card on record will be required for inspection.
34 ) When will we get the report of Advanced Confirmatory Test?
You will receive the report within at least 15 days after the inspection
35 ) Where will the Advanced Confirmatory Test be conducted?
Listed will be done in hospital, primary health center and laboratory.
36 ) What diseases does Advanced Confirmatory Test screen for?
Advanced Confirmatory Test is done for life threatening diseases
37 ) Where to get medicine?
Mobile Medical Units i.e. MMUs will be available to you in vehicles under Jan Sauddhi and AMRIT Yojana.
38 ) If my report was abnormal two months ago, will I get medication or medical treatment?
Yes, a registered worker card is required.
39 ) When is my next screening test?
According to the government decision, health check-up will be done once per year per beneficiary
40 ) Can I get this treatment if I have a chronic disease like AIDS or HIV?
Yes, This will treat the above diseases and other chronic diseases.
41 ) If my health worsens a few days after the examination, will I receive medication or medical treatment?
Yes, for that you need toll free no. You can call the number 1-800-2-66 66 66 66 and consult with the available doctors and take medication. Also, you can pay Rs. 5000/- of the medication prescribed by the government from your district / taluka level mobile medical clinic i.e. vehicle. can be taken within the limits of
42 ) Can we have a follow-up test after medication or hospitalization?
As per government decision, health check-up will be done once per year per beneficiary and if the report is abnormal in primary health check-up test, if re-testing of Asha test is requested, such test will be done free of cost once. But re-examination will not be done after medication or hospitalization treatment and within the same year.
43 ) Where can we get treatment?
You can get treatment in any hospital listed by the government.
44 ) Will my family stay at the hospital during treatment?
No. Only the patient undergoing treatment will be accommodated in the hospital.
45 ) What is the hospital recruitment process?
If the concerned beneficiary's test report is abnormal and wants to be admitted to a hospital, he/she can call on toll-free number 1-800-2-66 66 66 66 and our representative will reserve the hospital and its beds for him in the same manner as he would for his hospital admission. It will keep a record of all the processing of documents and payments for your treatment.
46 ) Will I get the benefits of other government health schemes after availing this health scheme?
If they take the benefit of this health scheme, they will not get the benefit of any other government health scheme.
47 ) Will we or the family get financial assistance under this scheme?
No, under this scheme you and your family beneficiary will get only the facilities of health screening test, medication, mobile medical vehicle and hospital admission.
48 ) Will you pay us the amount required for medication or hospitalization?
The amount or expenses required for the above treatment will be paid by the Government of Maharashtra with the concerned institution.
49 ) What are the benefits of this scheme in case of critical illness?
This is treated with medication for the associated illness, hospitalization if necessary. In case of hospital admission, the treatment cost up to 2 lakhs will be borne by the government. If the cost of treatment is more than 2 lakh and within the limit of 7 lakh, the beneficiary can get the benefit with the approval of Maharashtra Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board
50 ) What should I do or whom should I contact if I need hospital treatment?
For hospital admission and treatment, call the toll free number provided by the board and the attending health officer of the concerned hospital will contact you and admit you in the hospital and in this regard he will keep a record of all the documents processing and payments from your hospital admission to the end of your treatment.
51 ) Who will bear the hospital expenses?
All expenses will be borne by the Government.
52 ) Whom to contact in case of accident at construction site?
All the information about the relationship must be given by calling the toll free number issued by the government 1-800-2-66 66 66 66 or at the district / taluka level labor welfare center.
53 ) How long we have to stay in the hospital?
It will be decided on time according to doctor's advice and your condition.
54 ) What can be done if the listed hospital is too far from the construction site?
First of all you should immediately admit the concerned patient to your nearest hospital and call the toll free no. Call 1-800-2-66 66 66 66 and inform the concerned. After that our representative will visit the concerned hospital and get it provisionally listed and the patient will be treated in the same hospital.
55 ) Will my children get job under this scheme?
No, this plan is only related to your health.
56 ) What is expected in listed hospitals and what are its features?
Listed hospitals shall have fixed health check-up centres, at least one in each taluk and at least three centers permanently in each district labor welfare center area, where the beneficiary can visit and undergo primary health check-up and get the check-up report.
57 ) What are the facilities available in mobile medical room vehicle?
Essential medicines, first aid and life support systems will be available in emergency situations.
58 ) Who will serve us in the mobile medical ward vehicle?
Doctors, nurses, helpers and drivers will serve you.
